Olympics Watch
by David Eby
I'd like to invite anyone interested in housing issues in Vancouver to come to an event I've got set up, (thanks to some dedicated help from some very good people), for May 6, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The event is a discussion with Mayoral hopeful Gregor Robertson on issues of housing affordability and homelessness, and what his plans are to deal with these issues should he win his nomination contest and the mayoralty in the November election. Everyone is welcome.

If it isn't obvious, I think November's election is one of the most important elections in recent memory for the future of the City of Vancouver, should we decide to be anything other than a resort city for the super rich. We all need to be involved to ensure progressive policy comes from our next city council, and this is a chance to make that happen.

The details are:

Tuesday, May 6, 2008 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Lore Krill Co-op
65 West Cordova Street between Abbott and Carrall

Childcare is available, and refreshments will be served. See you there!
