Power of Hope executive director Michael Harris (pictured above) made a pitch for funding to about 75 people, after "Red 5" performed a "hip hop hope" tune, and warmed up the crowd. The event, at Studio 304, on Granville, was to raise money for a highly acclaimed youth empowerment program that gives creativity camps for a broad spectrum of young people. "It changes lives," Harris said.

The organization runs programs for youth and young adults who want to take an active role in creating a positive future, develop their leadership skills, build stronger communities and have a great time in the process.
